I had two attacks after that. But the key to manage this disease is to find what food your body can take and be determined not to allow the disease to return. Remain free from stress, anxiety as far as possible.
Quit red meat altogether. Also take meds to keep you triglycerides and cholesterol low. I eat any kind of pork products, chicken, turkey or whatever but no beef, lamb bison or any kind of red meat. if you decide to eat sausage look on the back of the package - no beef. Pepperoni or the sausage on pizza contains beef and they're extremely high in fat. I don;t even eat jerky anymore. I haven't had an attack ever since. I hope this helps some people.
it started for me just one day no longer making solid stools...no matter what I could manage to keep down...but looking back...it goes further for me...I've always been a picky eater sometimes throwing up undigested food hours after eating. I've been to the ER complaining of side pain...had ultrasounds and doctors telling me either it's PMS (which the menstrual cycle does make things hurt more during certain parts of the cycle) or been treated like I just want drugs..which make me sick anyway.
For me, chamomile tea every night is a must and other herbal teas as well throughout the day. sometimes I can digest fats, sometimes I can digest raw leafy veggies, I never eat pork..but sometimes grass fed beef is a must, sometimes organic chicken....and sometimes not...I can eat one thing one day and feel good, and eat it the next day and feel horrible pain and have intestinal issues and pain. I read that MCT oil does not require the pancreas to be digested.. and it does feel nice in my body..my poor brain appreciates me giving it fats to stay healthy...such a tricky balance the pancreas plays...
