I have been suffering from gastritis with regular flare ups of very bad pain. Well I was diagnosed with it two years ago but the past few months its been very bad pain. Anyway I had a CT scan and I was told its nothing worrying. The gastro I saw said that he wanted to look at my pancras. I have to see him in April. Do you think he would have told me if it was pancreatitis? Or would he wait until Im in the clinic? This leaves me wondering why Im getting all this pain and its driving me mad. Also I have some Gabapentin tablets to take. Has anyone got any experience of taking these? Ive not tried them yet so Im a bit worried. Also Im worried that the cause may not be found and I won,t get rid of the pain. Thanks.
Never have taken Gabapentin tabs. sounds like you are not having a good time of this. Who knows what doctors are thinking..Like I always say doctors are just practicing medicine. And when it come to GI problems they seem to like to practice a lot..Take care and try not to worry. I know the pain is horrible. But the more we tense up the worse it gets. Lay down, and try to relax. I put a heating pad & then icepack.
