I LOVE my GI, but the surgeon was like a greasy Ken doll...he told me that I wouldn't need to stay in the hospital at all, and that the surgery wouldn't effect my panc....hell, my last UES had me in the hospital for two days as it pissed off my panc....
I did finally have my gall bladder removed which I firmly believe should happen if there's even a question. I waited way too long to get mine out.
Cut out the fat, fiber and alcohol for sure....no smoking...some good natural digestive enzymes to take... transdermal magnesium...lots of vegetable juicing...also loving my essential oils. They've made such a difference!
Feel better and listen to your body and make sure you find a doctor that listens to both!!
