I have gotten used to it without pain meds. I do usually take a half a pill. which is what I am going to do. Feels like I might have another attack tonight.

I am pre diabetic, my sister is diabetic and I believe that what you are describing has something to do with your sugar levels too.

They didn't work for me unfortunately so I ended up on a P.I.C.C. line.
You might want to try the clear boost shakes to see if you can keep them down and to see if they help.
The chocolate one is the best, I put it in the freezer to make it ice up first and I can usually tolerate it when I'm not having an attack. With a pain level of 7 ... I would stick to the clear fruit flavored ones.
