Did you have diarrhea too or just pain? How long did you have to be on the enzymes before it made a difference?

I just have pain. I don't have much trouble with diahrea but I think that is because I still take pain medicine and that causes me to be more constipated than diahrea. I noticed feeling better within 2 days. However this evening I am not feeling great so I am still having problems. I had a glass of caffeine free coke with my dinner and I think that really messed me up. I was quite active today. My son had 2 soccer games and I did a lot of shopping and I think I over done it today too. I really hate not being able to do and eat what I want. I feel blessed that I am not worse but sometimes I just wish I was better too.

I have been reading your post on Pancreas Divisum. You are the first
person in awhile that I found has this. I also have divisum and In May 2009 I had my first ERCP then in September 2009 I had 3. One in Which they cut and put the stent in wrong. Kaiser called me back 2 weeks later and had me come back to fix it. Then the last one landed me in the hospital for 4 days with pancreatitis. Two weeks ago I had my first flare up with symptoms of green bile from both ends and dehydration. My doctor gave me an IV as soon as I got to her office. She ran blood test on me and my levels were 770 lipase. I stayed home and fasted for the 4 day weekend and rested my pancreas. That helped. Unlike you I splurge where I shouldn't knowing that I am playing with fire. I would like to hear more of your story with Divisum if you could write me NRDsaster@yahoo.com I would appreciate it.

ps I just started taking Zen Pep after being 9 days without pancrease which could have contributed to my flare up. They just took it off the market. Having some leg pains and abdominal cramping. Could be side effect.

I'm on Creon 24000 - up to 30 pills a day - what a relief! I also have divisum and this is so much more preferable to surgery...
