Do you cough before vomiting.

When throwing up after eating, with pancreatitis, does anyone cough?

I have started vomiting daily for the last 3 weeks. Does not matter what I eat.

I also have MS and fear I may be having swallowing problems and the food is going into my lungs instead and thus the coughing and vomiting.

I know, I need to see a dr to sort this out but I would like to know if anyone coughs with the pancreatitis.

Oh and I forgot to add... this comes with nausea. Leading me away from thinking it is MS. But any input would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer that question for everyone, but I do know that even my children and grandchild seems to cough before throwing up. I think it is an reaction to try not to throw up, but like I said, I could only answer for myself and my family.
I have a friend that has ms too, I will ask him if it happens to him. But I don't know how long it will take because he is not an easy man to reach. He is having some big time trouble with walking pneumonia and will not slow down for a second, he is a wonderful friend, who will help very one in our subdivision . Sometimes I wonder why so many really great people have to be stricken with these type of diseases. But all one could do is pray. you know you are in my prayers. Nancy

I cough almost every time I throw up. Cough before, during and after. It becomes a cough gag sort of thing.

I cough on and off and think it is bile reflux. Maybe the bile you are vomiting is causing it. It is different than normal heartburn, the bile is "hot". I just think one problem in your digestive system affects all of the system. I started with burping 2 years ago and it has been downhill ever since . Every aspect of my digestive system is screwed up now. I feel for you that you have MS to add to the rest of this crap. It is horrible to feel like you can't swallow. I feel that way once in a blue moon and hate it. I really do sympathize with you and hope you can get better. Did you get the results from your scan?
