chest pain/breathing problems

for a couple of weeks, I have been having a little chest pain, a slight cough and just a feeling of uncomfortableness in my chest.I do not know if this is related to having chronic pancreatitis- I have not been officially diagnosed with CP but pretty sure it is what is going on with me.
I know lung failure is a complication of pancreatitis, but I do not know how that starts,
It is also cold and flu season so it could just be something like that- I just know I don't feel good from this!

I have such a difficult time describing the pain i have when I have CP pain, but I think that is similar to some of what i feel. I call it extreme pressure in my chest that sometimes makes it hard to breathe. Usually, I have a piercing pain that in my back that is directly on the other side of my body from where the chest pain is (like an arrow stuck through me).

Now on another occasion, I had chest pain, labored breathing, rapid heart rate, and sweating. It was a reaction to a pain med the doctor tried on me. I never took it again.

thanks for the reply- I understand about the difficult time describing the pain. some days it feels like I have done 1000 sit ups and it is right in the center of my abdomen just under my breast bone. other times it feels like a knife going straight through my left side. this chest pain is new to me. I could very well be getting a cold but the pain is more to the lower left of my chest just above where I normally hurt plus just the feeling of uncomfortable-ness. the funny thing I have not hurt as bad as I have been in my abdomen today- all the pain has been centered in my chest.
