Struggling

I have Pancreatic Divisium and have been fairly well since the stent placement and removal 3 yrs ago.. would get the odd "spasm" pains but nothing too bad and not too frequent.. The last 3 weeks I have had a stitch like pain behind my right ribs.. not getting better but not getting much worse.. had xray which was clear and Fri have bloods and an upper abd ultrasound.. some pains feel like a sting in my back which has alerted me maybe this is the pancreas again?? I had a MRCP with secretin last year and he said I may have to have sphincterotomy and/or stent placement again this year.. this weekend I have been getitng manyn more spasm pains they don't last long but leave me a little shaky and li8ttle nauseated.. I have an app with my specialist here on Monday and have already put in Dr Banks for end Oct... my BP has been high 150/97 148/90 and with new added meds am now about 147/80.. sorry not really a question more being able to say this to people who suffer the same as to people who really don't get the fact that you are in pain , bad pain for a bit then it goes and can come back.... Not sure If I can really help, but just wanted you to know that I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and that you will get better again soon. I had my first attack (so the docs say) a little over a month ago and I'm doing okay. Just one day a time, one food at a time and just listening to my body. I'm a "virgin" to all this so like I said I can't add much, but I know that there are lots of people on here unfortunately that have way more experience with all this then I do. My prayers are with you. I also have PD and I have had two stent placements and seem to be doing ok. I also have that annoying side pain for the past five years. They have never been able to pinpoint the cause. If they pinpoint one for you please share.

I understand what you are going through. I am struggling with bouts of acute pancreatitis on top of chronic pancreatitis, and i am not eating anything. I'm totally NPO and i'm struggling. I'm afraid that what you're feeling is pancreatitis. It has been a constant struggle for me. Do you have a J TUbe for feedings or are you able to eat okay?
I pray it's not, but I'll be interested in seeing what you find out. I pray you are okay!

well may finally have an answer for the pain behind the ribs.. one of my Docs here said when you have a stent placed and removed sometimes gas travels back up into the duct and it can cause this general uncomfortable feeling behind the ribs it can actually get worse if bacteria enters into the duct also..am on tract for a visit to Dr Banks for Oct 24th so far... for MRCP with secretin to start then see if need the sphincterotomy and /or stent again..
