May 1st I had a stent put in. This time I was only in the hospital for 5 days. Last stent a year and a half ago I was in the hospital for 13 days and they had to pull the stent out early because I would not tolerate it.
This time I am feeling good and this most days in a row so far that I have been feeling good (like a normal person) in over two years. So I know this procedure has been a good choice for me. The only difference I know of is the doc said he put in a bigger stent in this time. He has scheduled my for stent removal on June 8th.
My questions are:
Why does the stent have to come out? I know this is a metal stent this time if that makes a difference.
I know statistics show that eventually scar tissue will form and I will have to have the procedure again but should I be worried that when he removes the stent on June 8th that I will start to have problems again right away?

Sorry to say that for me, I always got an attack when they removed the stent. Even tho they always said I should be fine, my pancreas is just too sensitive.
