Had my pacemaker implanted yesterday. Afterwards I began sneezing and i continue to sneeze today. No doctors came by for me to ask and the nurses are not concerned.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Check out pacemakerclub.com. for answers.It's a very active supportive informative group. Many PM ICD members also dealing with AF. I joined the group recently since a PM has been recommended by both cardiologist and EP.

Perhaps they used some sort of lotion or cleanser on you that you're allergic to?

Thanks for the link.

Met with my GP today and she thought my reaction was probably from the anesthesia. She prescribed ProAir.
Lots of posts about the same symptom after surgery. Most blame the oxygen or oxygen delivery system. If my GP is correct it could also be the anesthesia.

My husband had his pacemaker fitted less than 3weeks ago, now he's complaining of sneezing g alot and coughing, and also short of breath, kindly any advise towards his problem is highly welcomed, thanks

Coughing and short breath are fairly common with implant. However I don't know about the sneezing. My guess is it's related to the anesthesia.

The short breath is likely that a change to his settings is needed. They usually leave the device at factory settings until they can get a feel for his specific needs. Make sure you contact the doctor and let them know what is going on.
