still having a hard time getting used to pacer and getting back to active lifestyle. It is hard to figure out how far I can go. I feel the heart pumping all the time especially at night when I lay down. Can I hear others experiences early on? It would be helpful to me.

well I personally don't have one but have had family members which did..I might suggest trying to forget you have it?

Your doctor would have given you a list of things to watch for the first few weeks, which varies by patient, the type of leads and your condition, but otherwise the only restrictions are what you place on yourself. I'm on my 3rd device, am paced 100% in both ventricles and often get Jesus Jolts from my defibrillator, doesn't hold me down. Had my latest one crammed into my shoulder mid-may and was out and about living life the next day.

Sure you hear your heart, you are far more aware and so listen for it, it's quite common. stop worrying, you'll be fine. So get out there and start enjoying life again.
