Oh, that's easy - the last one 3 months ago when I was still alowed to eat chicken - LOL

I like most ethnic foods except I can't acquire a taste for Greek food. Chesapeake Bay steamed crab feast with corn on the cob and a Corona can't be topped for me.

Back in the day, I was homeless, on the street, in Las Vegas Nevada. We lined up for the VERY BEST roast beef with genuine green string beans, & mashed potatoes with the skins in them...

The line went round the block at that Catholic Church. But it was WELL worth the wait and there was ALWAYS plenty where you finally got served...

BEST food I ever tasted and I am a gourmet/ professional cook by profession... My mouth salivates even NOW just thinking about it...

Yum. It sounds wonderful. Glad they were there for you when you needed them. Sorry you were living under such horrendous conditions.

Mine was years ago when I could digest it - fillet mignon, baked potatoes with sour cream and chives, peas and cheese cake. And I wore a size 9 then. Sigh.

It is so good, they have a festival every year to celebrate the harvest.

My Moms fried chicken. She was a wonderful cook. She always fried chicken on Sundays when I was little. With mashed potatoes and corn on the cob and home made rolls with real butter topped off with apple pie. Gosh I miss her!

Fresh cooked pinto beans, fried potatoes, lettuce and onions (with hot grease poured over it) and hot cornbread. Oh goodness, what that would do to my cholesterol now !

Mom & Dad asked "Where would you like to eat?" My answer...

Double Double (Animal) and a glass of "real" milk.

8 months later, my brother made the exact same request.
Absence truely makes the [taste buds] grow fonder. ;-)

NDY-am sad to see that you were homeless, that is rough. Glad that you had that good meal.

Here some ladies from several churches get together to make home made meals for the homeless shelter, good food, and plenty of it.

Some of my best dinners have been breakfast food.
French toast
and egg or two over easy yolk broken and cooked
fresh squeezed OJ

My best COOKED meal was when my kids (5) were young. It was the day after I made the BIG Spaghetti meal with all the trimmings from scratch. Because the next day was the BEST day ~ Fried Spaghetti... First you put the butter in, then the dry Parmesan Cheese, then the Spaghetti, the some more dry Parmesan cheese, then more butter... It was like a fried Spahetti Sandwich served with a ice cold crisp lettuce salad & Italian Dressing and homemade hard rolls w/butter.. YUM!

My favorite meal is chicken fried chicken and fresh greenbeans with mashed potatoes and a side order of brown gravy, with a big glass of milk Hmmm Hmm gooooood!

It is always the one i do not have to cook.

Hmmm what I eat or when I eat it means very little... what really matters is who you share the meal with. Maybe a venison steak at deer camp with friends is near the top.

i'm a lobster fiend, and i used to eat out a lot...went to an italian gourmet restaurant, the posh kind, almost thirty years ago. lol. they served two danish lobster tails, which were sweeter than maine lobster. best lobster i ever had. that with good, chilled white wine, salad, baked potato.

i also LOVE escargot and there is a place over there that serves with with cognac sauce on a pastry shell. omg!!! to die for.

i feel great all week when i have really good food like that. lol.
