Over The Fence Community Group
A quote from one of our happy Over The Fence members: "Hi JS- Thank you for the welcome message. Do you remember that show Home Improvement and the neighbor Wilson Wilson Jr. who would meet Tim the Tool Man at the fence, but never showed anything but his eyes? He was so funny. This group reminds me of those encounters... you get the wisdom, humor, and support from your DS...
How many people leave w/o prior knowledge tragically &oh - their poor families who NEVER got to say "Good Bye". I know bec my Mom died suddenly from a cerebral Hemorrhage (brain bleed from a 'busted aneurysm) with NO warning. I cried & cried bec I NEVER got to say Good Bye!
So Neighbors. Live each day as though it be you last because you never, never know WHEN - God will be callin you HOME!

The other side is when I am absolutely depressed and suicidal. I don't get hypomanic anymore, and I haven't for a long time. It figures! I tried to kill myself first when I was 20, then at 41.

Years later I finally went to college and before I started the social work program my doctor suggested I apply for SSI because he knew that I could not handle the work load and work and handle my family. I've been on SSI ever since....and since leaving college I've only had a couple of jobs and I've been unemployed for over two years now. I never considered myself disabled and now that I'm losing my weight due to gastric bypass surgery....I'm a little less disabled...although my knees are still shot. I can't stand for any length of time or sit for long periods of time...but I can walk for fairly long distances.
