Well, kind of. I have a friend who has diabetes who gets out of whack when she gets stressed. She has a former husband who is rather a bum and she has to take responsiblity for all of her son's stuff and she just gets upset a lot. The ex and his new wife also try to make trouble.

I normally get like a meal for her and let her talk her day out. We then watch a good movie.

Sometimes, my other friend gets stressed and we go to Cracker Barrell.

Listening is the main way to help out folks who are under stress.

My friend! We moved into this apartment building at the same time. She was stressed over her divorce, losing her house and her health failing. I was stressed over losing my husband. At first we helped each other but slowly without my noticing it she stopped supporting me and I became her caretaker, cleaning, cooking everything. She ended up falling asleep with a cigarette and burning up her apartment and she move far away to her daughters. I felt a great relief and now I will be more careful about being supportive and not be taken advantage of.
