I'm sorry....I have blocked out those childhood memories....there was never a best
in my family....it was all very scary and dysfunctional!

Superfly2k9 my childhood was also dysfunctional, however, there were times when we had a great time, most of which happened before I was ten years old. For me I guess it would be when we rented a cabin for two weeks every summer for five years. For whatever reason there are few bad memories of that time...only good ones.

I think my favorite was getting snow bound in a cabin on Keysers Ridge in Maryland. We were stuck for a week with no electricity, had to cook on the fire in the fire place, melt snow to get water to flush the toilets... It doesnt sound like fun... but I sure enjoyed it.

Camping puts the "YOU" into memories bec you are so enveloped in the involvement that it takes to CAMP and the dependence of others when shared!

We decided to camp in a pop-up tent in February with an electric heater... 5 children & 2 adults.. We just fit ! Right after we got the tent set up & had dinner ~ It started snowin like the dickens! That's OK ~ We could handle that! WHY NOT? The kids were havin a blast throw snoballs, etc..

We were SO tired from poppin the tent & our bellies were full of hot food.. We all dozed Right Off to sleep ~ Until my ex & I felt a jerk. ! and then another jerk ! And before we could react OUR entire side of the pop-up tent had fallen into 2 feet of freshly fallen SNOW !!

it seems sometime between our last camping trip and February ~ the threads had ROTTED !. With the heat melting the snow on the roof of the tent it had turned to water and GRAVITY set in and DOWN we went!! The kids thought IT the best thing that EVER happened..

It certainly was the FUNNIEST !!

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
