It's so hard to wait for blood test results! It usually takes about 3 days for the CA125 results and even then that does not prove or disprove cancer. Ask for a CT scan. It does sound like it needs to come out and if I were you the sooner the better. Anyway, I feel your pain and worry! You are now where I was two years ago! Good luck and many prayers!

Gosh.. I don't know.. I would suggest asking your doctor or googling it and seeing what comes up that way.. but. .. I would imagine there are many more benign conditions, that would cause this, than malignant ones.. anything that would put a great enough strain on you physiologically.. Please let us know what you find out..


With OC a full hysterectomy is the first step towards tackling it. It also allows the surgeon to have a good look inside for evidence of any spread of the disease.. as well as sending samples to the lab to be able to make a conclusive diagnosis.. their hands go everywhere.

You will want a surgeon who specialises in geanyological (can't spell that word) cancers.. and that is very important.. one who can do what ever is necessary in one operation.

These things happen so fast.. but it's good that they do, as should this turn out to be OC, then the quicker you act the better..

Make sure you see a gynecological-oncologist. Even though you trust your doctor, a specialist is much more astute at recognizing and knowing the symptoms and the cancer.
