I symapthise - it's like having severe tootheache in your legs! I am now on a high dose of Vitamin D (1,000 iu D3 daily) and I'm slowly improving - I don't cry at the sight of stairs any more. I found that Diclofenac (Voltarol?) helped me manage the pain, especially at night when just turning over would wake me up. I was surprised to learn that in the UK adults don't make any Vit D from Oct-May, and any sun screen over an 8 will block production. You only need 15 mins sun a day on your face & hands to make an adequate amount. I'll be taking a supplement for the forseeable future I think.
I hope you start to feel better soon.
Best wishes,
Sarah
