Apparently Fosamax doses aren't as strong since they're distributed over a month. My Dr doesn't seem to have a preference he just wants me to start asap.
I've been taking calcium 500+D twice daily for some time and will be continuing.
I may be able to take additional minerals though I don't know about strontium citrate. I'll ask my docs. I'm a transplant recipient so anything, even supplements must be cleared by them.
Thanks!

I'll definitely check into K2.
I should be able to take things such as minerals. I just need to steer clear of anything that might boost my immune system or interfere with the antirejection meds.
Will let you know how it goes.
Thanks!
I'm on daily 10mg of fosomax, just started recently so too soon to know anything.
My bone density test finally after years of getting slowly worse or not changing finally showed a great improvement except for my femorol neck in my hips, that did change for the worse a bit. But anyhoo I am on the generic version of Fosamax since my medicare supplement policy wanted to charge an arm and leg for Actonel that I had been on for a couple of years
So I guess with the improvement my doctor credits the Fosamax. Of course I was doing the extra calcium, exercises etc all along
Alert regarding FOSAMAX.
Cheers!
