Hi, everyone

I'm newcomer here, but I got cold sores 2 years ago. Initailly, I treated blisters on my upper lips with tea tree oil, it removed cold sores effectively. Unluckily, it didn't work well on the second flares and I changed to honey. I also used to apply OTC creams to prevent flares; however, none of them help me. Whenerver stress comes, blisters appear. I don't know what I should do, now?

Maybe you tried lots of treatments. Have you ever tried products approved by FDA? My best friend used to apply a cream approved by FDA to treat cold sores. She has no outbreaks until now. Before that, she commonly had cold sores whenever having examinations, so I think stress triggered her condition. To avoid cold sores, you also need to limit stress. Hope you cure cold sores fast

Thanks for your reply. I know stress trigger my cold sores, I try to avoid it, but it still finds me in many ways. Actually, I have no idea how to deal with it. Too tired! You said that your best friend used to apply FDA cream and had good results. Can you ask your friend which cream did he/ she use?

she applied prosurx, the cream helped her remove sores within 3 days. No more sores until now. She told me it was the best cream she had tried. I just share her experiences with you. You can choose any FDA creams that work well for you,

thanks for your help. People on other forums also recommend prosurx to me. Maybe I'll give it a shot. Hope the cream help me treat and prevent further outbreaks

I use Carmex. It has seemed to help me and is inexpensive. Also there is an oral medication that you can take to prevent flare ups if it is bad. I have both oral and genital herpes so I take my medication daily to prevent flare ups. It is called Aclovir.
