Hi everyone,
New here today as I just found this group for my HSV1.
I've always had issues with coldsores.. they'd grow into big masses, be up my noes, in my eyes, my finger, my lips etc etc.
It wasnt untill I went to a skin specialist after suffering almost all year long from a new coldsore every time the last cleared up. He ran some blood tests and told me my body tested positive for HSV1...he said while most people do have this, generally they create an immunity to it. I have a shot immunity as it is so no suprises when he said "you obviously never did and probably wont". I was placed on the same medication as those with HSV2 are... it was the ONLY thing to put back my outbreaks to 2-3 per year.

It's not so bad, but they sure arn't subtle when they arrive...I try not to leave the house lol.
