My step daughter is 9 y/o. We just found out she has ODD or that's what their telling us, she goes in for a psych evaluation within the next month, but this is coming after she went to school & told them we don't feed her & her father abuses her & they called DHS on us, the 1st worker treated us like monster after only speaking with my step daughter for a short period of time, they removed her, she is staying at my in laws because my step daughter conviced them that my husband would beat her if she was to stay in our home, need mind you, she had told us this was her plan, because we don't give her everything she wants, when she wants it.
Let me start off with a little background, my step daughter lived with her bio mom until being removed from her care due to major drug use & abuse within the home, we then had a worker with us for 9 months & she was the perfect child, then one day she got in trouble for stealing & lying, it all changed wihtin a matter of a few minutes.
My 1st question is... Do kids with ODD lie all the time?
My 2nd question... Do kids with ODD manipulate to get what they want?
My 3 question is... Do kids with ODD steal?
My 4th questions is... Are kids with ODD vilent?
My step daughter lies about EVERYTHING & will blame EVERYONE for her issues, she even once said, "if someone murders a baby, it's not the person that murdered the babies fault, it's the cops fault for catching them, all because she was lying about stealing surgar, which we had it on video, her stealing the 2lbs bag of brown surgar & eating the whole thing.
My step daughter manipulates any new person she meets, she will be the most sweeties, kind hearted kids ever, but then give us the "look of death" while she is manipulating someone to make us out to be monsters.
My step daughter steals, she has stolen money from her teachers purse at school, stolen money from her sister, stolen jewelry from kids at school & so so so much more!
My step daughter is abusive, she hit my granddaughter in the tummy, when I walked into the room, she had one hand over her mouth & the other pinching her nose, she looked at me & said, I needed to shut her up because I hit her & don't want to get in trouble! I was floored & horrified!
I don't know what to do & feel alone! My husband is scared to death of her.
I just don't know how to deal with all this.
He has also in the past taken things but only from us at home. Never school or shops etc.
