Today was so typical. It was a gorgeous day outside, perfect for getting at the thousand things on my to-do list around the house. But I couldn't. Instead I had to sit in the house "guarding" our youngest daughter so that my wife and our middle daughter could live a normal life. True, I got a fair amount of indoor work done. But the outside of our house is starting to fall apart because I have to spend so much time managing our daughter one on one. She's been on hunger strike a good portion of the day - not because she doesn't like the food, which is most often the case. I think today's hunger strike is just because her anger renders her incapable of feeding herself. Though at this moment she has settled down and managing to get the spoon from the bowl into her mouth. (Mind you, she's almost 8 years old.) Well, as always, I just so appreciate having this outlet available to vent. I don't know whether anyone actually reads these posts. But I fantasize that you are out there, empathizing, knowing what we're going through, caring about us anonymously. Thank you. I feel a little better already.
