Or, I wish I did know, befor I put it in my child.
I think that if I did have to pick one thing, it would be knowledge of war. What war has left people looking like, feeling like, scared of life its self. I find it so, so sad.
Things I wish I knew, there is so much! That would take me forever to list, for right now all the things I will be learning for the next decade in college I wish I already knew. That would save me mad cash.

For instance.....we know how to terminate a pregnancy...does that knowledge comform to what we perceive to be morally correct? Does that knowledge fit into the acceptable category of birth control or women's rights? It is a knowledge that is subjective and fits into that category of the culture that surrounds us and determined by values, principles, beliefs, etc. These considerations are again constrained by economics, family values, state of life and station in life.
So then what do we KNOW? Pure knowledge is not possible it is constrained by all that surrounds it....cause and effect.
The truth does exists, but perhaps our understanding of it is constrained by those many things. Even if we can not objectively comprehend the issues, we can still know some element of them. If pure knowledge = objective truth we can not obtain it, but if knowledge is nothing more than the further comprehension of some ultimate truth, we can obtain it.
I wish my understanding of the evil nature of mankind was less developed. Being naive is nice while it lasts.

In Tony Hawk's biography, he wrote about how when he started to ride a skateboard at a young age, there were friends of his that had such a better talent and natural ability at it then him. But as they became board with it, he spent three years falling off of it. They gave up and he kept at it and now he is the most recognized name in the sport of skateboarding. Guess he did not know his limitations, did he? Maybe he just realized his potential.
My feeling is that we are capable of so much more then the fear will let us get to. I think when Mankind's consciousness evolves, then perfect sports feats will become commonplace. Sort of like what happened with the four minuet mile. For the longest time no body could run a mile in four minuets. Then one person did it. Then after that, a lot of other people found they could do it. But before it was accomplished, people thought it might be impossible.
