Nice to know, Unfortunately cant play any instruments.

Guitar is fantastic. Actually, any instrument is fantastic. I love playing the piano, it sort of takes me away with it.

Do people stand outside your window and serenade you? If they don't, then they should.

You should see my dad playing the guitar, it's the funniest thing. Mainly because he doesn't have long fingers so it's hard for him to get the big ones, but I love the look on his face when he finally gets it.

Does anyone else in this group play any instruments? What kinds and how long for?
Actually it would be interesting to know if anyone in this group is thinking about a career in music.

I guess to have career in music, you have to play instruments since childhood. Because its really hard to become really good at it if you start learning it in adulthood.

My husband took up the guitar at 47. Never took any type of music lessons or read music before. He is actually doing pretty well. He has taken a few lessons (4 or 5 I think) and has gotten to where he can sit down and play a little for his own enjoyment.

So don't give up it you think you might like to try. Maybe you won't become the next Eric Clapton, but you could do it for your own enjoyment. I played an instrument in band and when I was happy or sad it was great to be able to pick up my instrument and play.

Oh, I love guitar particularly on Pink Floyd..I think that you have to have real determination to master an instument,,I tried many times but gave up...many times..

Elliee, maybe you and I should take up the ukulele. It only has three strings. LOL, I wonder if they make an electric ukulele? It would def be more sexy.

I love guitars and any instruments with strings, cant play myself but love to be played too
