Here is how addictions work, all addictions. from cocaine, to the internet, to depression to shopping, to sex, to you name it.
Your brain using thoughts or feelings to create a desire in you. When you fulfill that desire, More energy is directed toward your brain. Your brain also releases chemicals in response to the fulfillment of that desire and these chemicals are received by certain receptors on the cells in your body. These receptors actually grow and develop according to the chemicals the brain releases. Now these receptor will also crave the chemicals your brain releases. And what does your brain get out of all this? It gets more energy. It strengthens it's position of authority. It also uses fear and the ego to do this as well. But this is all about an energy cycle. And cocaine, as I am sure you have sensed, supercharges that energy to the brain, doesn't it? I bet when you do a bump, you can actually feel that happening. Now you may ask, " But my brain, that's me, right?" Well watch as your brain operates without your say so. Watch as it actually forces you to do things against your will. Is your brain and all that thinking and imagination, really who you are? I think one of the most important things, if not The important thing for a person to do is to look and see the truth of this. That is the only real cure of all these addictions we suffer from. And almost every human suffers addictions, one way or the other. People who look down on drug addicts or alcoholics are kinda silly. They should look instead into what is really going on inside. All the answers and wisdom can be found by looking inside of oneself. It really is that simple.
Now i use the term brain above and it may not be the correct term. I could say mind, but maybe that is not right. I hope you can understand what I am saying past the definitions of the words. Words can be such a trap.
Every day is so hard to not just give in
