I'd like to experience it, never have tho.

There is a certain area of the brain which, when stimulated (or unstimulated...I can't remember which) gives a clear, "out of body" feeling. Wikipedia associates it with Lucid Dreaming, which is something I experience routinely.

I have experienced it before. I get a rushing feeling and like I"m flying fast but don't really know where I'm going and can't see but I have been able to see before. I have lucid dreams alot and that's what it is also I think where I can fly around but I see things and can control where I go. I don't know. it's different at different times. Sometimes when I realize it's happening I want to control it and that makes it harder and I tend to wake up or it stops. it's weird. I wish it would happen again, hasn't in a long time. One time I felt myself flying up in the sky but it was dark and really windy, can't control where i went though. I'd like to learn how to control it more. I think the more you try to use your body, it doesn't work. It's more like your feeling or thoughts that control what you do or where you go. I'm rambling now. ha

i agree, i haven't experienced it but i would love to. I do believe in it however so i think it is possible.

Building a fire once and went up the chimney. Could see my neighborhood. After I would get to the side of the roof though it disapated into just colors. I controled the leaving and coming back by shaking my head and blinking my eyes. Fear I think kept me from staying beyond the roof for very long.
Numerous other times of the like. Once, couldn't control the coming back. Stayed out 2 hrs. Or was I asleep? I don't know.
In a couple of severe electrical storms have laid on my back in the house. Could see the bolts shapes through the roof. It's like it wasn't there. Would say could be imagination, but we have a picture window and the strikes to my right, out of the corner of my eye. Fit perfectly as they went over the house. Would that be the same? Is that what that word means?

I have never experienced it myself but I do believe others have.
And that anything is possible.

i just think i don't have enough concentration for it myself, i would love to experience it though.

Been done

I have focused and tried to do it. I even used to talk to people that say they could do it. But they confused me (easy to do) lol. I will still try I don't give up easy if I think it could be fun and maybe scary.

I've always wanted to experience it. The closes I've come is the ability to expand my mind and have the sensation of being part of the whole room I'm in. I hope that makes sense?

I would love to experience it. The most I've ever had is feeling like I'm falling as a drift off to sleep. It always startles me awake again.

I believe i have done this when ive been asleep, have had dreams that have seemed very real, about flying very fast over the sea to other country's, i was touching the sea as i flew over it. One of my dreams included a very rocky looking place with wood and log houses.
Would love to experience something like that when I'm awake.

When I was younger, I experienced it often. I got some news for everyone. Everyone does it. Not everyone remembers doing it. If you dream before, and after the experience, you will not associate the event in the morning. Set your alarm clock for strange hours. Use a note pad or recording device and record what you remember. You might be surprized at what you will find.

i have experienced it i was doing a guided meditation and suddenly a little girl came up to me crying she said she had been in a car accident and she could not find her mummy. so i said i would help her, i took her by her hand and walked with her through the darkness. Then i saw light coming from a doorway, i opened the door and walked inside with the little girl, she ran to a woman who was standing waiting, the woman mouthed the words thankyou, the feeling in this place was so wonderful i cannot find words to explain it, a voice behind me said you have to leave now, as i shut the door i was back on my sofa, i did not leave the sofa but i think my spirit may have left my body. i didn't tell anyone this until i went to a spiritual church and the medium on the stage came to me and said she could see a little girl around me she described her perfactly right down to the rag doll she had under one arm. then when my nan was dying she asked where the little girl had gone that was with me earlier i told her i had been alone she said was talking about the girl in a blue and white dress with a doll under her arm. shudders ran up and down my spine. i don't know what did happen that night on the sofa or how?

I bought a tape many years ago which was supposed to make astral projection happen. I listened to it a few times, then, bingo, it happened. I felt weightless and flew out of my body. It was awesome. The tape was repetitive sounds which sounded like a ball bouncing over and over and then a train flying by. It worked. I should look for it and try it again...I loaned it to a friend and he couldn't stand the sounds, he said they were very annoying..hey, you can't always have it both ways!
