Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I personally have been scared of becoming pregnant, it's life changing. And when your ready it's a beautiful experience but when your not, it can be frightening, i totally understand. What i would recommend is to do some research on your body and your fertility. I bought this book Taking charge of your fertility and it basically explains to us woman about our bodies.

I personally never knew any of the stuff this book talks about. Like there are actually ONLY 3 days your feritile and can become pregnant. It sucks because guys are fertile ALL the time. But we're the ones who have to take BC and deal with the hormones of that etcetc. But this book teaches you how to chart your cycles and signs to look for as far as your fertility goes(basal temp, cervical fluid). It might sound confusing because you DON'T want to become pregnant but i think the more you know of your body, the better you'll feel. The unknown is always scary. I hope this helps! :]
I think my main issue is that I have made a decision not to have children, due to my myriad psychiatric/psychological issues. However, I couldn't abort if I did have an "oops" - I don't judge women who do, but I know I couldn't (anyway, as my friend once put it, with all of the precautions that I take, "it would literally be like God wanting to create another baby Jesus.")
I wish I could give you some help in dealing with this, but I'm really just getting my sea legs myself. Just wanted to let you know that I understand completely.

People keep telling me "if you're that terrified of getting pregnant, then you shouldn't be having sex" but they don't understand I have OCD. I get terrified from many harmless things. (not saying sex is harmless but you know what I mean)
so that isn't good advice. Ugh. I hate being female sometimes.
