Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
This fear is quite common when one has ocd. We tend to fear the things we are least likely to do. The best advice I can give is the same advice I was given years ago: if you are worried about being or becoming a sociopath then you are not one and the chances of becoming one are very very slim indeed. You stand a better chance at discovering the secret to immortality than you do at becoming a sociopath.

1. You have awareness.
2. You have empathy.
What you may be doing is "displacing" another sociopath away from your life and it's easy to see it in the mirror of self reflection. Just because it's there, in your mind, doesn't mean it's a true reality.
Your capacity to ask this question speaks volumes of good about you.

So yes, I too think of myself as a sociopath. As others say, we are in fact very afraid of things like that, so we pretty much stay in our heads.
