Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
My fear got to the point that I couldn't step into my own bedroom and once I had a panic attack and closed all doors and windows and didn't leave the room in the middle of the house for most of the day.
In my experience, it gets better, but I'm afraid this isn't going away any time soon. I deal with it one day after another.
Anyways, i have a fear a little changes too. But really we need to force ourselves to change even the little things. That is the only way for us to grow. Change is going to happen whether we like it or not so the best thing to do is prepare ourselves by forcing ourselves to do the little things even if we are scared. With every change u make u will get stronger and stronger but avoiding change u will just become stuck like me a yr and almost 4 months after graduating college and still working part time at a minimum wage job. Obviously i do know this is easier said then done.
