Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

My dad was upset at this. They thought I was eating too much sugar, they restricted my sugar intake.
Personally, I was just doing it.... I could not help myself. Maybe I had too much energy? Not sure. Fast forward to 2019. I am 46 years old. I don't do things in public....I do tense my legs when sleeping. I have recurring thoughts and have started making really low and quiet grunting noises. Not sure why.
Exercise helped me a bit, I tend to like to be tired out. The point of my post is, I had exactly this sort of behavior when I was in Junior High.
Even a few of the teachers were upset that I made noises in class. They thought I was being rude. One teacher put a note on my desk asking me to please stop making noises. It was embarrassing.
I think teachers know more about these things now a days then in the 1970s.
I am also on Geodon, and also Prozac. I was originally diagnosed with Bi-Polar 1 now I am diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Hmm. I take Geodon, and have vivid dreams because of it. Kinda odd, the only side effect that I know of from Geodon.
I do tend to jump to the wrong conclusions at times, mainly in work and social settings.
Good luck, I hope you find an answer.
