Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I think that loneliness is a hard part of this disease. Not everyone is willing to deal with the complex nature of our affliction. It has become easier for me through the years to seclude myself from everyone but my family. I kind of just gave up on hoping for a relationship or a family. You have to invest so much of yourself into a new relationship and it hurts when things don't work out. I would tell you that you should never give up. I have become comfortable with being alone, but it shouldn't have to be that way. I truly do believe that there is someone perfect for every one of us. I would just advise you to keep trying. It hurts sometimes.
I just wanted you to know that I think I understand exactly what you are saying. I will be praying for you. I know things will be alright. Just don't give up!
