Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

In regards with how to deal with them, immediately pushing them away when there's a lot of them can make them more distressing. As they will just keep coming. Sometimes following them along and allowing them to end is the best thing.
If you have a moment to meditate, I sometimes imagine myself in a bubble, with all the bad thoughts on the outside. I then make that bubble bigger. Imagining how much space there is between me and them in a huge sphere. All these things so small and tiny and far away. It helps calm me down when I get overwhelmed and need to take a brake. Because they still exist but they're not near me, existing further away. It takes the emotions with it and I feel relieved, and able to think about something calm.
Also identifying when you are ruminating can be helpful. If I give myself a task I need to focus on it will pull my thoughts away from all the things I'm thinking about.
Hope this helps. And hope you are doing well
