Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
something interesting that i noticed...i used to work for community coffee in a few of their coffeeshops. probably half of the longterm employees were bipolar. maybe because the work hours were so flexible and different customers identify with different attitudes. employees really shaped the atmosphere.
if you are not interested in the job it will be a strain on you.
back to ur question i have loved most of my jobs but lost most of them because of my bpd and the way i react to situations in my jobs.
i have done caring in old folks homes.......lost both jobs due to the fact i couldn't keep my opinions to myself i complained too much about things i felt wasn't being done right to the boss.
i had two industial cleaning jobs one i left because i couldn't handle working with a new man on my own alone with him.
the other cleaning job i lost because the supervisor picked on me and when i complained to the boss i got the sack.
and way back when i was younger i lost a job in a garage where i worked i was only bout 17 there was 2 of us when it was my turn to polish the pumps with car polish i had to serve customers inbetween and you know what car polish is like if left on i had to keep restarting all over again.when it was the other womans turn to clean them the woman in the office use to serve customers for her while she got on with it.one day after 3/4 attempts of trying to clean this pump while the office woman just sat on her backside in the office i completly lost it pick up my bucket of water and threw it over the pump, the water got into it and damaged it.that was it i was sacked lol.but looking back it was all part of my bpd i didnt know i had at he time.opppps went on a bit there.
so what i'm trying to say i loved most jobs i had but i guess they didn't like me.
but people with bp,bpd etc can do all sorts of jobs what ever they feel happy in.
HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE.
