Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I had to quit college for a few years before I went back and finished,,,,,I also have a thing with numbers (safe and bad ones),,,hahaha,i even have used the word 'safe" many times as you have,,,,,although I do not have germ fears, I have otgher OCD symptoms,,,,,,
Your parents yelling at you obviously does not help and only makes things worse,,,,,,,no one wants OCD,,,,
What meds have U tried? Tried ERP (aka BT and CBT)? Hope you find an excellent behavior therapist to work on these OCD symptoms with and find a med or meds that help you,,,,
