Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
As for if you should take the medicine still, I know it can be better sometimes without meds. For me, meds have not solve my problem with OCD, but I know my OCD would be worse without the meds. It is always a cost/benefit analysis. You have to be honest with yourself and go with your heart as to which option is best. I wish you well.
And the meds definitely didn't take away my OCD, like you, it just...softened I guess you could say. It made it less intense.
Thank you very much for your kind words and helpful advice
