Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
This again doesn't have to do with cleaning but it does have to do with germs. Along with him not touching me before I made sure he washed his hands. Sometimes if I has washed my hands recently I wouldn't let his hands touch mine or I'd have to wash them again. He understood this but I know thought it was a little out there, heck I did. I would just tell him I just could touch his hands.
OCD is very irrational and will get worse and worse with everything we give in to. What I would do sometimes to stop myself is I would just say, it's fine or I wouldn't even look at it. Just like look past it like I never saw it cuz if I get going with cleaning it wont stop for a while.
Speaking of phones, I don't like people touching my cellphone cuz I feel their hands are dirty. Well, depending on who the person is. Yes, ocd definitely discriminates haha
