Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
It just goes to show that OCD, and all of the other mental illnesses out there is a health problem, just like diabetes, cancer, heart disease, chronic migraines, etc. It should be treated like it, too.
She told me to actually talk to my brain when I am having an episode:
"I do not agree with the feelings you {you being my brain} are sending me, and I am NOT going to react. You need to make the adjustments, not me."
