Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Something that helped me a lot during times of struggle whenever I felt I had no control over my thoughts was the verse that talks about the seven keys of our souls, and one is Self-Control (temperance). So, I felt that God enstilled that virtue in me, that He was more powerful than OCD, and to continue to pray, read some self-help books, visit my doctors, and do what I could to help myself, and to create a support system around you. If you ever need me! I'm here too, I'm praying for you, and God will see you through.
Let me tell you this,I too am a Christian and have experienced the same thought patterns.I used to think that I had committed the unpardonable sin.I have had terrible thoughts about God.I do not mean to give you just a simplified answer, but in the space permitted here,I must do so.It is the OCD symptoms that are causing these thoughts. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior,He knows what you are going through.More to come later.
Til then,

One type of OCD is called "Religious OCD" which is when you have intrusive thoughts related to your religion. Intrusive thoughts often take the form of what a person finds most repulsive, for example a mother might obsessively have images of hurting her child. For a lot of people, what they find most wrong is, obviously, related to their religion. The important thing to realize is that it doesn't mean anything about you -- the mother is not going to hurt her child any more than any mother would, it's just your OCD playing tricks on you.
