Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
YOU are NOT CRAZY!!! I have had that too..It seems as though every symptom of OCD in reference to intrusive thoughts I have had and yes I think of sentences, phrases, words, anything the sky is the limit for me!! I am probably the most creative person with OCD ever!! I have had it for 20 years!! I see a therapist on and off to re-direct me and I try very hard to stay positve!! when you have this happen try to keep thinking it on purpose and breath deep and tell yourself " go ahead think as crazy as you want to" and you will find that your anxiety will go down!! Our brains are like creative computers running a slide show all day some shows are creepy and some aren't try to just watch your thoughts...You are ok! I know this grabs you like nothing else it does me too. with practice you will build the strongest brain ever!! practice, practice, practice create the thoughts on purpose the rewards are big!! OCD is probably never cured , but it is managable. I have a family and a job and a happy life just every now and then I create new symptoms and it knocks me to my knees for a short while and then I get back up and so will you!! I listen to some of my daughters music it is inspiring for OCD I think some of my favorite feel good songs are "THE CLIMB" BY MILEY CYRUS or STAND by RASCAL FLATTS music can help put your mind in a more uplifting positive state..and make you stronger to cope. There is nothing that you cant survive!! believe that!! take care of you honey you will be ok!!
the same horrible thoughts is all the proof you need that your are NOT a psychopath! Hell, if we all followed through on our thoughts this world would be a mess!! But you never will. Trust me. The anxiety the thoughts produce is proof that you never will. The anxiety means you're a good person because the thoughts scare you. You will beat them. You can add me as a friend and contact me whenever you want. Be strong!
