Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
OCD takes many forms, and what you are describing can be OCD. The thing is that in order to be true OCD, it must signifigantly interfere with your life. Some people can develop these "OCD type" thoughts due to depression or another anxiety disorder. If they are interfering with your life....seek a diagnosis.....if not, try some stress relief and relaxation. Good luck :)
I also just give into it a lot as it is easier than fighting it and dealing with the anxiety. Especially being along and not having some support in the moment. I know it only makes the OCD stronger but I get tired of the fight.
