I even DO have sleep apnea. I wear a CPAP at night and it helps me a lot. I do get a better night's rest. The doctor said my weight aggravated the problem, but that since sleep apnea runs in my family, I probably had it before my weight gain too.
I'm still battling my weight and have not found a good diet plan that I have been able to stick to. I also have not tried weight watchers yet, which I heard can be very successful. Or doctor-aided weight loss.... have you tried that? It's losing weight with the guidance and supervision of a doctor. Two of my husband's extended family members both lost about 100 pounds each doing that. I think that might be the best route for me to try too (or at this point, lap band surgery because my weight is just out of control at this point).
I'm here to vent to and commiserate if you ever need that. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but sometimes just knowing you are not alone is a bit comforting!!! Best of luck,
Laura
I've tried Weight Watchers, Nutrasystems, Atkins, diet pills, etc... and even if I do lose weight, it always comes back on.
Make a simple and achievable goal of say 10 pounds by changing your eating habits slowly and increasing your exercise. Start with walking. Take your baby with you through your neighborhood or the local park. It will take time but you can do it. The biggest key is to be realistic and don't give up.
