Has anyone here used Topiramate (brand name Topamax)for weight loss?

Please be careful with the side effects from this drug. I'm not sure if the effects are the same for males and females but, his were horrible.
Memory loss was the greatest side effect I seem to recall. He was always larethic, and there was that "male" issue as well.
Just check the side effects and ask yourself if its worth it.
So far the worst side effect has been a bad taste in my mouth all the time. At first it was making me feel reall sick to my stomach, but not so much now. I still get that in waves and it has given me some sleep disruption.
I'm going to ride it out for a bit and see how it goes.
