I was 262 when I got pregnant with my first child. I didn't have to take any special meds or anything. I did test postive for gestational diabetes so I was on a restrictive diet and had to prick my finger and keep a record of my blood sugar several times a day. My second pregnancy was for twins and I was around the same weight when I got pregnant for them. When I finally delivered at 37 weeks I was nearly 300 pounds. Suprisingly enough I didn't have gestational diabetes with the twins. From my understanding the diabetes is more prominent in overweight women and especially with mulitples. Anything is possible. You would be amazed at the human body is capable of....LOL...As far as the fetus goes the only thing that would be different is the fact that there isn't as much room in the womb when you are over weight. Of course it is healthier for you and the baby if you were at your ideal weight but the nothing is perfect ya know?
