Welcome to this site. You will find a wonderful support group and lots of ideas.
So sorry you are having a hard time.
A hairdresser job is tough. On your feet a lot and I'm sure some rude folks.
Maybe start to make small changes. Small changes done over time will make a big difference.
If there are any bad habits, try and eliminate just one and see what a difference it makes.
As for me, I have a tremendous appetite and just want to eat everything in site. I am trying to work on portion control....I am also increasing my excercise, as I love movement and it makes me feel so good. The down side, movement also makes me hungrier....can't win.
Anyhow, I hope you like this group. Please post your journey so we can all learn from one another.
Welcome.....
Tuna Steak- It's very good and just pop it in the oven after you get home from work it takes only 30 minutes in the oven with a little lemon or lime it's delicious. No work at all. Pop a bag of frozen green veggies in the microwave and half a yam. You have one simple effortless healthy meal. There are many more. You can lose by eliminating bad things from your diet and replacing them with NUTRITIOUS things, but you have to be willing to drive past the fast food and go home to do it. I know you are exhausted , but you know yourself that you can't keep going the way you are. I'll be happy to support you as much as I can. You really can do it. I know it seems like a monster to overcome, but you can do it.
It sounds like you are looking at the full picture and if you do that, yes it is daunting. But what I am trying to do at the moment is changing just one tiny thing at a time. For example, eating one vegetable, at one, meal. All I have to do is make that one little change. Then I can build on that. Like removing a brick wall slowly, brick by brick.
I've been obese since I was a kid too, and my weight affects my job, too. I work in nursing which is a very physical job. My patient's familes also think nurses are starving, which is why they bring us all bad foods. Working in a hospice, we offer comfort, including comfort food. My company does not charge us for these, so having these foods present is difficult for me.
I hope in the future you have more good days than bad, and that we can get the support we need to change our lives :)
I do small excercises even if its for a few minutes and use my fitness pal. Its a start for me and i know you will get there. I know its hard but hang in there.
