This will be some tough patience on dealing with...
:( I couldn't resist but I managed portion control but it was that 1 AM refg raid, lol
today 11/24/12,even though my tummy is bloated to point I can't button the top button on my jeans, the scale hasn't indicated weight gain but I will know within afew dys if I had or hadn't gained.
I weigh in daily but I don't actually count my actual weight until Sat's.
Starting today I'm on a 3 dy fast to flush my system.
Becareful useing water pills.
I'm so proud of you. I knew if anyone could lose weight that it would be you. Keep up great work.
Can't guarantee I won't get on that scale, but after this morning i will put it out in the garage and hopefully not look at it again until Jan. 1st when i hope to be down to 210.
I wish all of us luck!
Lisa
We all have a love/hate with our scales..Since I like to think big, waiting for a month will be a toughie..but doable.
I wish you luck Lisa...We can do this!!!!
There other ways to notice our efforts without the scale..on how our tummy feels, our body, lab tests results, making wise food choices and the list goes on ,and on, etc...The scale always determines our moods and need to break the daily scale obession. I wish I have major fear with the scale to make it easier..I blame my dieting mindset when I was younger and gotten hooked with this scale...ugh!! Why oh why, that piece of metal brings us good hope..
I always surf the net and reading messages from different sight and one woman did not own a scale and using photos during the journey and how transformation with photos that states a thousand words.
Keep up your motivation to walk, etc. and everything else will fall into place. When your clothes are too big for you, then you know you've lost weight. You know all the right steps to take with eating right and moving so just do it and don't worry about all the rest.
You will get there in time. Take it slow and believe in yourself!
Hugs!
Sorry Lillian, I gave in to the temptation and weighed in today! (And I gained 2 pds, so there ya go... my "punishment" lol.)
Seriously tho, my "reasoning" was since my next goal ends Jan. 1st, I should weigh the first of Dec for a monthly weigh in. My new mini goal is to get to 210 by January 1st.
I also started a new easier beginner yoga dvd today. It has a 30 minute workout that you sit on a chair to do. I've never done yoga before so I tried this one and I like it alot. It works a lot of muscles, but especially my core and spine - two tough areas for me. I'm sore, but feel good!
Also didn't have any crushing headaches today and the pain is lessening. I think this flare up may be coming to an end...
Wish me luck as I wish the same to all of you.
We can do this!
Lisa.
Take Care all..

I've just caught up on all the replies to this post, and really enjoyed everyone's sense of humour even though this is a serious subject....of course it is always the scales fault when we gain weight, and our dedication and hard work when we lose :-)
I can't promise not to keep weighing myself daily, but I am taking my hat off to those of you who can resist the temptation.
I also take photos of myself once a month, and have a scrapbook that those photos go into, as well as taking my measurements every Sunday and even when the scales show little loss, the measurements are coming down, so be don't be disheartened if the scales show a little gain....as long as you are keeping on track mostly, you are headed in the right direction.
Stay strong everyone...I am routing for you.
Lynda
Glad to hear someone using photos during weight loss path..
