You have to be just as careful, you need to cut back calories and I exercised. I also had to get my BP checked every other week at my doctor's office, but that really wasn't a problem, I got to weigh in while I was there.
I lost about 46 pounds, but that's not what I loved about the drug, I loved that I wasn't hungry all the time! I loved that when I ate a meal I felt FULL! I wasn't thinking about food all the time. It was such a blessing!
I had to find a new primary care doctor because my family doctor left private practice and my new primary care doctor HIT THE ROOF when I asked for my refill. He said this drug was terrible for one's heart valves. And the new primary care doctor also said that everyone gains the weight back once they stop taking Merida.
Who knows. I thought it was a great tool to use while trying to lose weight.
