Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
I went through an entire month of the "bouncing back and forth" thing in September. I think I ended up losing less than a pound for the entire month! What I know though is that if you just stick with it and don't give up, the pounds WILL start to come off again!
This month has been my best month yet! For several weeks I had just seemed to stall out with a 25 lb loss, but, as of this morning, I'm down 33 lbs.
I think what has really helped is my learning to not turn to emotional eating when life gets stressful. I so understand the issues you're having with Graves disease. I, too, suffered from it before I had my thryoid gland removed. Problems with the thyroid gland can really be a challenge when it comes to our weight loss journey. If you're taking medication for it, I would suggest letting your doctor know what is going on. Maybe all you need is just a small adjustment in your medication.
Hang in there! You'll get through this!
