Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
Well, the way you keep your baby from growing up to have weight problems is to first deal with your own weight issues. The perfect place to start is with your emotional eating. As soon as you fully understand that food can never either fix or help you deal with non-food issues, you'll be that much more ahead of the game.
You really don't need a food detox center - you can do that for yourself, as all the answers you need (for weight loss or anything else, for that matter) are inside of you. There are lots of books that address emotional eating; I would suggest checking one out from your local library or buying one. It will help you to get off the emotional eating roller coaster. And, it's a coaster you definately want to get off of, because otherwise you'll just keep gaining more and more weight. Work on yourself now, so that you'll be a good role model for your daughter and she won't go down the same weight path you've been on.
Emotional eaters are most definately addicted to food, but, it's an addiction that can be reversed. I'm a witness.
Don't give up on this - it's too important.
Hugs,
Janice
