I'm sorry sweetie. Unfortunately, kids are brutally honest :-( If you want to lose weight, you just need to find the motivation and get moving! Good luck with everything!

I agree kids are brutally honest and although I don't like to hear certin things it does give me a stronger motivation to change what I feel drags me down. Stay strong and don't give up:)

I was rock climbing with my kids. we started climbing this particular rock face. And I had this random kid say: "You can't do that you're too big." He said it like of course I couldn't. I did climb it though. Remember kids don't always know what they're talking about, blunt or speak there mind is a better word than honest. honest carries too much connotation for truth.

we learn all too soon as children to compare people to one another.

example little skeleton neighbor girl asked if she were fat, simply because she has heard her friends talk about that same fear. She is skin and bones and only like 9 yrs old its sick!

Kids call it as they see it with no concern for how they can offend without meaning to. It's a good chance to teach them to be careful with their words. It's also a good time to take a look at ourselves and see what they're talking about.
