Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
Rebekah, you have done it in the past, so you will obtain your goals again. Patience will get us there. You can do it!
I wonder if you've tried intermittant fasting? Basically, you restrict WHEN you eat more than WHAT you eat. I restrict myself to eating between 11am and 7pm. It's suggested you stick with a low carb diet because your body will burn carbs before it burns fat (at least, that's the idea behind the plan). If nothing else, it forces you to restrict your daily intake because you're eating less through the day. It works well for me (when I follow the plan and don't binge on a whole bag of donuts while sitting in bed watching reruns - but that's my lack of willpower).
I hope your hubby is supportive - that's super important. It's really hard to be motivated and stay on track when your significant other does what they want independent of you.
I believe it's largely internal - if you can believe you can do it, you can. If you throw up your hands (like I do often) and say "that Big Mac, large fries, apple pie, with a side of 20 McNuggets should be good," then you many not. Darn, now I'm hungry...
I believe everyone has the strength to succeed - sometimes we have to dig deeper than others, but that determination is there, somewhere... you just have to find it.
